Jenny Bear meets Belle & Pink πŸ’•

Hi All,

I hope you enjoyed your Christmas day and have had these few days to recover.  As for me, I'm still celebrating. For some reason, most of my friend's (and mine) birthdays are between Christmas and New Years and the party doesn't stop until after the New Year!  I've conceded that I'm no longer as young nor do I have the energy to PARTY ON like the days of old! LOL

Today, I've decided to give myself some ME time and get my butt in order so I can hit the ground running for the start of 2017 then I will slowly run out of fuel and do a lot of catching by mid-year and miserable falling behind by the year end! hehe...

I've just created JLB's January's wallpaper.  It's "Jenny Bear meets Belle & Pink"!  My JLB family is growing from bears to now dolls.  I hope to bring you more designs in the new year and new patterns and kits too!  Hope you enjoy seeing them on your screen and they help brighten up your days!

Have a safe and Happy New Year in 2017!! Thank you all for your follows and your AWESOME support in 2016.  Looking forward to hearing from you in the New Year! πŸ’—

a message in a bauble?

I must say, the time leading up to Christmas is always my favourite time of the year...
Putting up the Christmas tree, shopping for presents and all that cooking, baking and food and of course, quality time with family and friends.

Since Daniel was born, we started our own Christmas tradition, where each year, we have a new tree ornament, whether it's one we go shop and choose together and more recently, now that Daniel is older, we're putting a bit of a personal touch to them.

This year, it's a message in a bauble, we all get one each and inside, we write a special message for each other and dated so that in years to come, we can revisit what we have written to each other...πŸ™‚

Last year we collected pine cones from Daniel's school, we painted the tips with glue and dipped it in glitter...put a ribbon on and gave one to each of his teachers and of course, one each for ourselves.

We decorate our tree together early ( like first week of November ) so that we can enjoy the tree just a little bit longer, and each time we bring out our own ornament, it always sparks conversation of where we got it or how we made it...really brings back great memories.  I realise this time doesn't last, as Daniel will become less interested as he grows up but I'm hoping we've built enough good childhood memories for him to store away and hopefully, this new tradition of ours might even get past down to his family in the future.

I'd love for you to share your family Christmas tradition with me.  Here's to the days leading up to Christmas! Enjoy it!

πŸ””Tis the season to be jolly....fa la la la la

Oh my!! has it been a month already? Well, guess what!?  The school holidays will be starting soon which means I'll be home more with my boy and yes, this also means, I will have more time for my 'other' child "JennyLovesBenny"!! πŸ˜›

I must say I've not been working very hard this month on my bears OR dolls..I've had and still have family from the US visiting and occasional staying with us.  As a result, I've done lots of cooking, baking, eating and playing mahjong till all hours of the morning.  Thankfully for them, they can sleep in but not so lucky for me, I still have to get up and go to work.. :(

December always makes me think of Christmas and as Christmas is looming, I've started our family tradition of putting up our Christmas tree the first week of November.  Each year, Daniel will bring out his Christmas train set, he will set it up once our tree is up and decorated.  I really like the feeling of Christmas and what the holidays brings for us all...

I haven't forgotten about December's wall paper though!! I'd just finished making a new dress for Jenny Bear for the festive season.  Please find below my December wallpaper featuring Jenny Bear and her beloved puppy celebrating Christmas...πŸŽ„

I hope this will put you in the festive mood! Just click on the photo to download.
Have a great month but remember..."don't count the days..make the days count"!! :D

give me back my Spring..🌸

Hi All!!

Can you believe we're almost in November?  It's been so cold and we probably only had a handful of nice warm days in Melbourne.  Winter had decided to stay for much longer than I want it to and now, we've almost missed Spring!  The cold deprived me of any white flowers on my wisteria which I'd planted 4 two years ago.  Let's hope the Summer bloom on my other plants will make up for the cold!

This month,  I made a new Anime Bear "Chocoball" because he just reminds me of chocolate Maltesers!!! LOL

Chocoball is currently looking for a new home, please visit my link here:

I'd also spent a lot of time with my new addiction of customising Blythe dolls and my latest is "Alice"!  Who doesn't like Alice in Wonderland right??  Here's some photos of my version of "Alice"..

We can't have an Alice without a Alice has her own JLB Twinkee bunny to keep her company!!  Below are pull strings I've created...can you spot the rabbit?

Inscription on the back...there really is no time like the present!

I've just listed Alice in my Etsy shop, please find the link below:

For more photos of Alice, please visit there's lots of lovely photos of Alice there. Before I forget, here is November's wallpaper.  I hope you like it! :DHave an awesome month everyone, before you'll know it we'll be in 2017!!!Hugs,

Recap the last couple of weeks...and I have another little girl! πŸ’–πŸŽ€πŸ’–

Good Morning!! Or I should say afternoon! It's a late start today after a full on day yesterday, I knew my energy wouldn't last this long before I need a full recharge. I need a 4 day weekend! Wouldn't that be nice? πŸ˜„

It's been a hectic couple of weeks at JLB.  I'm spending more time on Facebook and Instagram with my snippets of daily updates, so if you wish to see my snippets, please follow me on Facebook or Instagram.

So what's been happening?

I finally got to make a Kimono for my Belle.  I do enjoy dressing Jenny Bear and Belle in Kimonos, I love playing around with the different fabrics and putting them together.  It's such a beautiful costume and design!  I've listed Belle's kimono in my Etsy shop:'s very easy to fit and take off.. :D

I started working on my second Blythe doll.

Here is the original girl with Shiu Mei panda.

I think pretty much all that could go wrong did go wrong this this little girl.  I had such beginner's luck with my first Custom Blythe Belle thankfully, otherwise, I would have been really discouraged.   I was really determined not to let all the issues I've had defeat me and I'm so glad I did.  I absolutely adore this little girl and have named her "Pink"!! πŸ’–

I had a request for more Piggies in my shop so I created this little baby.

My new Piggy "BABE" is now reserved, THANK YOU all for your views and likes. Today I will make a start on a Twinkee Bear for my new girl and two anime Bears. Will show you some sneak peaks along the way...thank you for coming along on my JLB journey! It's because of you that I'm "Living the life I want to live"!😘😘😘

Have a super Sunday!!

🌸🌺Fill your October with Beautiful Memories..

Now that I've started my Wallpaper calendars again, it's made me realised even more how quickly the year is flying by.  The Spring weather has finally arrive in Melbourne after a cold start...the petals on the blossom trees have started to fall and drifting with the warm breeze we've been having and are now replaced with fresh green leaves...

I finally managed to make a Kimono for my own Blythe "Belle", I love this girl to bits and have made next month's wallpaper featuring her with my favourite quotes written to me by my bestie as I was leaving for the UK ~ "Write to me as often as their wings inscribe the clouds, the wings of wild geese heading north, never stop writing." ~ Mursaki Shikibu

I hope you like this one, just click on the photo to download.
Hope your October will be filled with beautiful memories! :D

What's in the box? or should I say WHO!!?

Remember that box I found hidden in my cupboard full of sewn but unfinished bears?..well here is one on of them..

Please meet my dear Hans...

a lone traveller, who enjoys nature and the simple things in life,
He sleeps under the stars and wakes up to the fresh smell of morning dew...
He enjoys swiming in the lake with the fishes then bakes in the afternoon sun.
He likes to take long walks and gets lost in the woods.
He forages in the forest for berries ( he just loves blueberries )
He's never lonely as he has animals to talk to and birds to keep him company..
He doesn't need anything yet he has everything!

but now...
he just needs a new home :)
For more clearer photos and details of Hans, please visit my website

He is now ready for adoption.
If you'll like to make your own Hans, he is created from Hammond's pattern.

🌸♩Serendipity!! ♬♫♪

Tidying up my work room is like a going on a treasure hunt, I never know what I'll find! Yap, I'm one of those people who put things away to keep thing neat and tidy and then forgetting where I'd put them when I need it! Tee heeee

This week,  I found this tin box, tucked away far far back in the cupboard.  To my pleasant surprise, it was box full of sewn bears which I'd packed away during my first house move.  I'd totally forgotten about them!!!

I won't tell you what bear is in stall but I can tell you they are from my earlier designs. πŸ˜€
The next few weeks, I will attempt to complete them and bring them to life..poor things have been waiting and waiting in the dark...

I hope you'll get a nice surprise too,  please stay tuned!

Are you ready for the cool breeze and the sun upon your face? The fish in the pond comes out of hiding,  the birds are chirping,  flowers are blooming and oh the Cherry blossoms!!??

I really do love Spring!!

For September's wallpaper, I've chosen my new Jenny Bear in her Kimono to be the model.  Jenny Bear wearing her apron getting ready for Spring cleaning.

Spring cleaning anyone? 🎈☕️ 🌸

Hi Everyone,

Please meet my newest Jenny Bear from my "Jenny Bear ~ Kimono Series".

Jenny Bear is well aware Spring is fast approaching, she can smell Spring in the air and the cherry blossoms are showing signs of little buds in the trees.  It is her favourite time of the year and of course mine too!! ☺️
She's getting ready to do her Spring cleaning in her new white apron...after all, isn't cleanliness next to Godliness?

Jenny Bear is approximately 26cm/10.5 inches tall, she is made from
quality Shulte sparse mohair with a fawn colour pile on a strong backing.   Her eyes are made from large black German glass eyes and she has a brown brown embroidered nose
Jenny Bear is 5 way jointed using cotter pin joints and is filled with quality polyflock stuffing.  Her feet also stainless steel shots to help her stand on her own so she's a weighty girl bear. With little initial help, she'll be able to stand very comfortably to show off her pretty pink kimono and apron.
I do not advise her Kimono to be removed as it will be very difficult to dress her again however, her apron can be easily removed and put back on.
For more photos of Jenny Bear in her new Kimono and apron, please visit my website at

Just click on her image to view larger photos of her.
Jenny Bear is now available for adoption, just click on the link below:

Thank you always for your likes and follows and hope you have a fabulous Sunday!!

Sweet Blueberry Pie has been adopted and is on her way to The Netherlands to meet her new Mummy!   Candy, Candy Cotton Princess and Lion Heart are still available from my Etsy shop Here:

Remember to keep your offcuts and don't throw them out!
I'd almost forgotten how fun it was to make my Twinkees, they're so colourful and their little faces always makes me smile.

she would like me to tell you that as sweet as she looks, she's not a consumable item mmmm k?...looking is good, cuddles are ok but no EATING please!

Such a cheerful little bundle aren't they? :D

πŸ’‹ A new Journey - Part 3 ~ πŸŽ€ Belle πŸŽ€

My new journey has brought me to this little girl...please meet "Belle"!

As my first attempt at customising, I'm pretty happy with how "Belle" turned out.  Nothing like what I had in mind before I began but I decided to just go with it and see what will come of her.  It's been so much FUN!!  The girls at Blythe Customization on fb has been wonderful; so generous with their advice and have many great tips to share.

Now I'm really looking forward to making dresses and playing dress up with her!  This so reminds me of when I was little, drawing paper dolls then making paper clothes for them.  I feel like 8 years old again! giggle giggle giggle
