Miss Candice Candy Pop...

You've probably guessed I had a few sewing projects going on at the same time as how else would I manage to get another bunny done in zippy time!! :D

Afterall, like all little girls, she’s made with sugar and spice!

Candice Candy Pop is now reserved.
If you like to make your own Candice, she was created from my Rapipi pattern.

Tiny Ted for Ava

This week,  I've been designing a tiny teddy for my Blythe dolls, especially making one to travel with my new girl Ava.  Although I've used Sassy fabric which make it easier to turn right side out the tiny pieces I do find it much more difficult making smaller bears than the larger ones!!

I am rather pleased with how this little bear has turned out.  Tiny Ted I've named him!

Now he's ready to travel with Ava.  I hope they will be very happy together!  For those who wish to make your own Tiny Ted, I shall create his pattern for you! :DHugs

Ava sees butterflies...

The past week, I've been working on my no.7 girl.  This time, I've given her a butterfly theme...
She has green and sparkly glitter lids and luscious long eye lashes.   I created four eye chips for her but my favourite is the one with her seeing butterflies...I can get lost in them myself!! :D

She has lovely long blonde hair and it's a little difficult to see however I've given her silver freckles...

I've just put her together and have also finished her dress.  Next is a teddy bear to keep her company!

Ava's dress is also available for pre-order here:
Please allow between 1 to 2 weeks to ship from time of order.

Ava will be available for adoption soon, as soon as her furry friend is ready!! :D

it's another WEB facelift!!

Yes, crazy me is at it again...

I've just given JennyLovesBenny website another facelift.  The green was making me sad...I've concluded no matter how much I age, PINK is my colour!  Always makes me happy and that's what I want JLB to portray...endless Happiness!! ๐Ÿ’—

The website has all my patterns on there,  hard copy and PDF formats except for Jenny Bear but am working on that.  The problem with computers and software is each time I upgrade or get a new computer, I also have to upgrade or buy new software else they don't work!!

There is now The Bear Shop and The Doll Shop!! :D

Freight within Australia is FREE and all is in AUD$.  It is now also mobile friendly so you can even order through your iPhone.

All physical items which are currently listed in my Etsy shop will remain there however, newbies will be listed in my website unless it is being Auctions.

I no longer have a gallery page as there was too many babies to put up but you can still view them in my Flickr and for more recent ones in my Instagram.

Please feel free to drop me a message if you have any trouble with the site and I will endeavour to fix it asap.

Thank you for being part of JennyLovesBenny!!  I will try to build on JennyLovesBenny to bring you more smiles and cuddles!

Have a super fab weekend and for those in Vic, an awesome long weekend!! Yeah!! :D

Snow Princess Wannabe ~ Dreamy

Am so thrilled my no.#2 girl Pink has just found a new home in the US.  I have no doubt she will be really happy with her new Mummy!!  Thank you all for your likes and lovely comments.

In the past few weeks, I've been working on a new's some snaps of what I've done along the way.  I did start out with a theme for her...a Unicorn Theme because of the colour of her hair,  beautiful baby blue with a tinge of soft pink running through...but along the way,  this little girl started to develop into her own character and theme.

After the face up, someone commented she was like a Frost Princess...yes, I think so too, she is a Snow Princess Wannabe and I named her Dreamy because of her bright Starry eyes.

I was never much good at sewing clothes but I mustered up a pretty dress for Dreamy.  I was lucky to find such beautiful fabric and trims to create her something which I think suits her.  I made her a Mohair jacket to keep her warm being a Snow Princess and all..LOL

I also sewed up some lace stockings for her too.  Am pretty happy with how they turned out! :D
Lastly, I also made her a white teddy bear to go wherever Dreamy goes.

Dreamy has found a new home and will be living with her new Mummy who amazingly looks like her!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Before I leave you today is June's wallpaper for 2017 ~ Winter is certainly coming and I thought it was fitting to feature Dreamy my Snow Princess Wannabe!

Baa Baa sheep YoYo pillow hats for Blythe! ๐Ÿ˜

Does anyone remember these?  For me, seeing these brings back a childhood memory of me as a little girl, though it's a bit of a blur, I do recall seeing a fabric bag hanging on a door knob with yoyo pillows attached to it.  I think it was the 'in' thing at that time and I'm pretty certain it would have been my mum who made the bag for herself. I always thought they were very pretty at the time but it was only recently when I look through one of my quilting books to make a quilt for Belle that I came across these again!  I decided that I was going to take the time and make some for fun.
Since I was having such a fun time making hats for my Blythe doll, I decided to make some hats with yoyo pillows on them!  I have to say, I got a bit carried away with them and just kept making one after another!  I'm pretty happy with how they've turned out though!

Today, I finally finished the hat collection.  I've named it the "BaaBaa Yoyo Pillow Hat"! LOL
It just so reminds of a baby lamb...baaaaaa baaaaa! hehe
The hats are made from wool instead of mohair and I will have 6 available and they will be in my Etsy shop tomorrow.

Here some snippets of some of the hats modelled by my Belle.  I had a ball making them, hope you like them too! :D

First Blythe Hat from JennyLovesBenny

This Blythe world has totally open my eyes to a whole new world of fun!!

Like many things I've wanted to make, a furry hat from my stash of mohair for my Belle has been on the 'To Do' list for a long while.  I had always had such a great time making little hats for my anime bears and have taken custom orders for toddler hats and now the fun begins again for me making hats for my Dolls.

This is my own pattern and I will make more to stock on my shop.  I hope to bring you more designs in the future and perhaps even dresses too! :D

For now, I have 5 of these hats in my Etsy shop:

Hope you like it but more importantly, hope your Blythe girl LOVES it!!!! :D

Thank you for dropping in and have an awesome weekend ahead!!

๐ŸŽ€ May 2017 Wallpaper Calendar with Belle and Jenny Bear

I have so many projects going on at the same time sometimes I forget to show you what I've completed..such as this quilt for Belle!  Given it's the last day of the month, I wasn't sure I was going to get May's wallpaper ready for you before the start of next month.  I get one day during the week to spend on JLB and usually I have a bit of spare time on the weekend which I squeeze in between house chores.  This weekend though, my little boy come down with a cold given the recent change in the weather...Winter is coming for sure!  Usually with the cold, his asthma gets triggered which leaves me with sleepless nights, worrying that he can't breath during his sleep.  Thankfully, he's recovering quickly and is in good spirits playing with his legos and transformers which allowed me a little time to whip this up!
Please find below May's Wallpaper, there are two to choose from this month as I had created the first one and Daniel liked the second photo more so I'll let you decide which you like better! :D
Just visit my Flickr account for a larger pic here:

I hope you have a wonderful month in May!!

who needs to eat when you're making bears? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜€

It was forecast to rain and today I got to stay home and work on my new Jenny Bear!!  Isn't funny though we can get up early to do the things we love but have such a hard time getting up to go to work!!? LOL...well that was me this morning!! :D
Here are some photos of my work in progress...

Here Jenny Bear is all stitched up.  Just need eyes and ears sewn on but before that, it was time for lunch.  Who needs to eat when you're making bears right? All I really needed was coffee with lots of sugar but no, I behaved and looked after my self by making a big bowl of noodles soup with tofu and home grown mushrooms.  Healthy? Just a little!! :D

Welcome to the world you!  I've managed to finish my Jenny Bear but she still needs something to wear.   For now, she's snug in Belle's quilt which I made for her using prints from Liberty of London.  That's what I used for this Jenny Bear's inner ears.   I'm loving Liberty of London again...I used to when I was living in London, it was one of my favourite shops to visit but when I got back to Australia I was so drawn to cutesy Japanese prints and had forgotten about Liberty until now when I was searching for fabrics to make a quilt for my Blythe doll Belle.I'm tempted to steal this for this Jenny Bear as this quilts suits her much better due to her matching ears..not sure how Belle feels about that though!
Boy time sure flies when I'm in my sewing room and before I knew it or had time to make a dress for this little girl, my alarm went off to remind me I had to go pick up my little boy from school!! Yes, I NEED an alarm clock to remind me of that else, time gets lost in my sewing room..TIME had no place in my studio before my boy came along!

Spending time in my sewing room is great, it really makes my day and I feel so happy just being in that moment in that room but what excites me more now is seeing my boy's face light up when his class room door swings open and he sees me eagerly waiting outside for him....ahhhhhhh

That was my day, hope you had an eventful or non eventful day but a blissful one.  Thank you to those who kept me company on Facebook and chats.  It really was a wonderful day! :D

Bear Pattern for young children?

Often I get asked if I have patterns for young children.  A first hand made bear is always so special and definitely something to be treasured and pass down the generations.  A while ago, I created a "My First Bear" kit using safety joints and safety plastic eyes.   I no longer have the kit available however, I've been asked if I have the pattern is still available.

Yes I do, I've just converted it to PDF format!!  "My First Bear" pattern is based on my Puddle's pattern.   You can get it in my Etsy shop right here:

You will require the following items:
Fur: 1/8m mohair
Joints & Eyes: safety toy joints/ safety plastic eyes which can be purchased in Spotlight stores in Australia.

Please let me know if you have any questions and if you have trouble sourcing the safety joints or eyes.

I hope Puddles make a great heirloom gift for your little loved ones!
